Ayşecan ÖZYEĞİN OKTAY
Chairwoman of the Board
Ayşecan Özyeğin Oktay completed her undergraduate studies in Economics at Duke University. From 2003 to 2006, she actively participated in various projects in the Retail Banking Department at Finansbank and in the Business Development and Strategy Department at Fiba Group from 2006 to 2007. After completing her MBA at Stanford University in 2009, she rejoined Fiba Group. Before taking on the role of Vice Chair, she served for 10 years as a board member in Fiba Group and its various subsidiaries. In 2019, she became the Vice Chair of Fiba Group and in 2021, she was appointed Vice Chair of the Audit Committee at Credit Europe Bank while also serving as the Chair of the Fiba Group ESG Committee.
In addition to her roles at Fiba Group, she leads social responsibility initiatives as the Chair of the Mother-Child Education Foundation and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Hüsnü Özyeğin Foundation. She is a member of various councils, including the Turkish Industry and Business Association's Entrepreneurship and Youth Round Table, Ashoka Social Entrepreneurship Support Network, Esas Social Advisory Board, UN SDSN Turkey Advisory Board, and Endeavor Mentorship Network. She also served on the Advisory Board of Stanford Business School from 2014 to 2018.

Murat ÖZYEĞİN
Chairperson of the Board and Executive Committee
He began his career in 1998 as a financial analyst in the New York office of the Merger and Acquisition Group of Bear Stearns & Co., a New York-based global investment bank and transferred to the company’s London office as a Senior Analyst in 2000.
He returned to Turkey in 2003 to take an active role in the management of Fiba Group, founded by his father Hüsnü Özyeğin. He established the Strategic Planning and Business Development divisions at Finansbank (owned by Fiba Group until 2006) and Fiba Holding.
Before assuming the role of Chairperson of Fiba Group, Murat Özyeğin served as a member of the Board of Directors between 2003-2019. He is also Vice Chairman of Credit Europe Bank, the group’s largest subsidiary in finance and Chairman of all non-financial subsidiaries.
Murat Özyeğin also serves as Chair of Türkiye–U.S. Business Council, Chair of the Advisory Board of Women on Boards Association Turkiye, Member of Board of Directors at Endeavor Turkiye, and Trustee of Özyeğin University. He formerly served as Vice President of Turkish Industrialists and Businessmen Association (TÜSİAD), member of Harvard University Global Advisory Council and Board of Dean’s Advisory of Harvard Business School and member of Global Relations Forum Board of Directors.
He has been serving as Honorary Consul – General of the Republic of Singapore since 2016.
He graduated Carnegie Mellon University with a double major in Industrial Management and Economics and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
He is 49 years old and has four children.

Mehmet GÜLEŞCİ
Board Member
Born in 1962, Mehmet Güleşci graduated from Boğaziçi University with a degree in Business Administration and completed a Master's in the same field. From 1984 to 1996, he worked at Ernst & Young in their Istanbul and Boston offices, obtaining CPA certifications from Turkey and Massachusetts, USA. He joined Finansbank as Deputy General Manager at the beginning of 1997 while working as a responsible partner and served as a board member until the end of 2009. In addition to his roles on the Board of Directors and Executive Board of Fiba Group, he serves on the boards of the group’s domestic and international financial and non-financial investments.

Oya SENER
Board Member
Oya Sener was born in Ankara in 1963. She graduated from Middle East Technical University with a degree in Industrial Engineering. She joined Fiba Retail Group as General Manager of Marks & Spencer TR in 1999 and has been serving as Group President since 2008 after her role as General Manager for Turkey, Russia, and Ukraine from 2005 to 2008.
Since 2011, she has been a board member of the Association of Combined Brands, a board member of the 30% Club since 2021, and a member of the Women’s Association in the Board of Directors

Hasan ARAT
Board Member
Hasan Arat was born in Adana in 1959. He graduated from Istanbul University’s Faculty of Business Administration. Hasan Arat joined the Fiba Group’s Board of Directors in 2010 and has held managerial positions in companies involved in textile and real estate investments for many years. He served as the Vice President of Beşiktaş Gymnastics Club from 1998 to 2000 and continues to serve as a board member of the European Olympic Committee (EOC) and as the Vice President of the Turkish National Olympic Committee (TMOK).

Esel ÇEKİN
Board Member
Esel Çekin is a Board Member at Migros Ticaret A.Ş., where she also serves on the Sustainability, Corporate Governance and Risk Committees. She is also a Board and Corporate Governance Committee member at Coca Cola İçecek A.Ş., a Board Member at Fiba Retail Group and a Board Member at the luxury women’s fashion brand Nackiyé. She also serves on the advisory boards of two AI startups: T-Fashion, which focuses on fashion technology, and Madlen, which specializes in educational technologies.
Between 2013 and 2023, Çekin served as the founding Executive Director of the Harvard Business School (HBS) Middle East, North Africa, Central Asia and Turkey (MENA) Research Center, where she managed HBS’s regional research activities.
Çekin earned her undergraduate degree in Economics from Boğaziçi University and completed her PhD in Economics at the City University of New York Graduate School. She later attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. She began her career as a consultant at Bain & Co.’s Istanbul office. In 1999, she joined Boyner Holding as Vice President of Strategy and Business Development. From 2004 to 2009, she served as CEO of Beymen Retail. Prior to her role at HBS MENA, she worked as Executive Director of Koç University Graduate School of Business and, between 2010 and 2020, taught Retail Management and Sales Management courses at the same university.
